This second shift role requires MIG welding, fitting, and assembly using detailed drawings and fixtures, with strict adherence to welding standards and safety practices.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year MIG welding experience with stainless steel or completed welding education, plus a general mechanical background and basic English skills.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ year MIG welding experience with emphasis on Stainless Steel or completion of accredited weld education program.
• General mechanical background.
• Basic English skills - ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.

Aufgaben

• Perform stainless steel welding, fitting, tracking, and assembly of passenger rail car bodies and subassemblies using detailed drawings, jigs, fixtures, and advanced welding equipment.
• Ensure all welds, assemblies, and finished products meet established welding standards, engineering specifications, dimensional tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect and repair fabrication defects as needed while maintaining workmanship and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
• Safely operate welding, hand, and power tools while adhering to safety regulations, PPE requirements, and maintaining a clean, compliant work environment.
• Complete required work order and quality documentation, accurately track labor hours, and meet production schedules, productivity goals, and budgeted labor targets with minimal supervision.
