• Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.
• General knowledge and experience in handling theatrical tools and equipment.

Job description

POSITION: Stagehand - Local 500

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload props and materials from truck dock.
• Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
• Move and rearrange furniture.
• Set up risers and musical equipment.
• Clean up stage and backstage area before and after performances.
• Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.
• General knowledge and experience in proper handling of all components of theatrical and entertainment tools, equipment, and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, walk, stand, sit, crouch, bend, stretch and reach.

Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Position is a referent of Local 500 union and is subject to pay referral fee and dues directed by the Local 500 and the work referral system in effect.

This is an hourly position that will be subject to collectively bargained union rules.
