Job summary

asmglobal is seeking a Stagehand to assist with assembling, disassembling and operating stage equipment during event production. You will help set up lighting, props, and microphones and support during load-in/out calls to ensure smooth productions.

The role involves loading/unloading trucks, assembling equipment on stage, constructing set pieces, and moving gear as needed. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with handling theatrical equipment and stage tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible hours.
• Union/Hourly position under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
• Assist during Load-In, Show, and Load-Out to assemble/disassemble shows.
• Load and unload trucks for productions.
• Assemble production equipment on stage.
• Construct set pieces and arrange risers and musical equipment.
• Operate spotlight with qualified personnel.
• Support video, sound, and light production as needed.
• Move furniture and road cases between areas.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment for venue and events.
• Be punctual and stay until the end of each call.
• Assist venue Production and Operations to meet changing needs.
• Report to the Union Steward on arrival for events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Summary

Responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling and operation of stage equipment during event production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
• Assist during Load-In, Show, and Load-Out Calls for the assembly and disassembly of show productions.
• Load and unload Trucks
• Assemble production equipment on stage.
• Construction of set pieces, risers, musical equipment
• Spotlight operation during shows for qualified personnel
• Assist with video, sound, and light production before, during and after shows for qualified personnel.
• Move furniture, road cases, miscellaneous equipment.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all equipment, from both venue and events.
• Be punctual at start times/dates for all assigned and accepted calls; and work until the completion of each call.
• Stand ready to assist the venue Production and Operations departments to meet changing venue needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.

Skills and Abilities

Must be able to use a two-way radio.

Work flexible hours, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

The position is a referent of ITASE Local 158 union and is subject to pay referral fee and dues directed by the ITASE Local 158 and the work referral system in effect.

This is an hourly position that will be subject to collectively bargained union rules.
