Job summary

Legends Global at Capital One Hall is seeking a venue technician to support events and stage operations. You will set up for events using in-house AV equipment, operate spotlights, unload/load client trucks, and move scenery as required.

The role requires basic flyrail operation, equipment changeovers between shows, and the ability to read blueprints and follow instructions. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus the physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to operate lighting, sound, AV, and rigging equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow instructions.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and team members.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Skills Required

Position requires ability to:

  • Demonstrate proper knowledge and use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment, and tools used in technical construction and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate proper knowledge and technique in the use of lighting, sound, audiovisual, and rigging equipment used Capital One Hall
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered while working.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written forms.
Education And/Or Experience

High school diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
