Job summary

Stoke Space in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a Stage Test Engineer to design, operate, and maintain test stands for rocket stages. You will collaborate with engineers to test rocket components, engines, and full stages, while enabling rapid, safe testing in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a mechanical or aerospace background, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to work outdoors and communicate clearly. It offers a dynamic team and opportunities to own critical test programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar.
• 2 years minimum experience with testing integrated rocket vehicles.
• Experience with integrating and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.
• Experience with high pressure or hazardous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrating rocket stages for ground testing.
• Managing test preparation activities.
• Leading test operations including autosequence creation, writing test procedures, and data analysis.
• Designing and building fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems for various test applications.
• Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems for various test applications.
• Managing project schedules.
• Performing hazard analysis.
• Performing test data analysis.
• Safely operating high pressure and cryogenic systems.
• As part of a small team, performing everyday tasks to keep the site running.
