Job summary

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation in Santa Clarita is seeking a Stage Technician, 18 years or older with a high school diploma, to support shows with audio, lighting, scenic, props and costumes, and assist daily park operations by delivering and setting up gear.

This is a temporary seasonal position running summer through November. Candidates should have strong technical aptitude, a safety mindset and ability to work under pressure; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical theater or live event production is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with sound mixing and theatrical lighting.
• Familiarity with scenic carpentry is a plus.
• Must have hand and power tool experience.
• 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CA driver's license and vehicle operation experience.
• Good verbal and written communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and strike shows and events including audio, scenic, and theatrical lighting.
• Delivering, set-up and strike of operational and support items and maintaining supply levels throughout the department.
• Loading in and setting up area entertainment, such as musicians.
• Model the level of guest service that we expect of all employees.
• Maintain Wage and Hour Compliance guidelines.
• Assist with coverage in all areas of Entertainment, as needed.
• Available to work various shifts, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Will be required to train on and operate large vehicles and heavy equipment.

Job Summary

The Entertainment Department is looking for a Stage Technician to assist with supporting our shows including building, installation of sound, lights, scenic, props, costumes and supporting the daily operation of the park by delivering and setting up, tables, chairs, portable canopies and A-frames. This is a temporary seasonal position expected to run from summer through November. Seasonal team members may have the opportunity to apply for available year round positions at the conclusion of this position. If no positions are available, employment will end at the completion of the seasonal assignment. Qualified applicants should have good technical aptitude, a strong commitment to safety and work well in high pressure situations. This position falls under our agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO, District Lodge No. 947 and would be subject to the terms of the contrac

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have hand and power tool experience.
• Strong troubleshooting background
• 18 years or older, and have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Vehicle operating experience and possess a valid CA driver license
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a positive, can-do attitude

Physical Requirements

• Constantly standing, talking, climbing walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping, bending, kneeling.
• Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity and temperature change.
• Must be able to push pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
• All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical device.
• Overtime of adults may be required from time to time to accommodate the business need.
• Working with noises above 89 decibels.
