Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer, Stage Systems (Starship) to own stage propulsion performance and oversee design, operation, and verification of propellant, pressurization, and control systems across stages.

You will develop top-level requirements, thermal/fluid models, and test plans; support production, test, and launch operations and review stage data and launch procedures. Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and fluids required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering.
• 1 year of mechanical or fluid system design experience.
• Masters preferred in related engineering fields.
• Strong thermodynamics and fluid dynamics understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain top-level requirements and design for stage propulsion systems.
• Create thermal/fluid models of stage propulsion.
• Generate stage control timing, valve sequencing, and mission design.
• Support production, test, and launch operations.
• Review stage checkouts, non-conformance dispositions, and sign-off prior to shipment.
