Job summary

Emerson College's Department of Performing Arts invites applications for a fulltime faculty term position in Stage Management for our BFA in Design and Stage Management. The appointment begins August 19, 2027 with a mandatory 2-day orientation August 19 & 20, 2027.

This is an in-person teaching position at Emerson's Boston campus, with term appointments renewable and potential for multi-year terms based on performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have degree in Stage Management or related area.
• At least 5 years of professional theatre experience.
• Actor's Equity and USITT membership required; affiliations to IATSE/AGMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Stage Management courses (3/3 load across academic year).
• Contribute to Stage Management concentration leadership and advising.
• Recruitment and retention initiatives for prospective students.
• Support career placement and mentor students.
