Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Stage Responsible Engineer for the Vehicle Systems and Integrated Test team. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to design, build, test, fly, recover, and reuse Terran R, balancing execution speed with risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical aptitude and broad understanding across Mechanical, Fluids, and Electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own Stage test campaigns end-to-end: develop test plans, execute campaigns, review data, and participate in hotfire tests with hardware.
• Perform requirements decomposition, develop verification activities, and execute CONOPs for test, hotfire, and launch campaigns.
• Lead risk adjudication and mitigation planning while guiding systems through qualification, acceptance, and hotfire campaigns.
• Support cross-functional systems work including subsystem troubleshooting, engine analysis, and trade studies.
• Travel to test and launch sites with flexibility for shifted schedules and weekend work during critical milestones.
