Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group is seeking a part-time Carpentry Technician based in the United States. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of professional stage carpentry experience, plus proficiency with power tools and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year as a professional Stage Carpenter on large-scale productions.
• Experience as run crew technician; ability to run cue tracks.
• Advanced power and hand tool skills.
• Experience with standard theatrical construction techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Run cue tracks to position scenic elements and related equipment for performances and maintenance.
• Maintain stage and backstage areas.
• Inspect and repair stage equipment.
• Update maintenance and inspection records as directed.
• Maintain carpentry documentation related to equipment and tracks.
• Assist with inventory and communicate needs to Lead.
• Participate in special projects including construction and installation of new show elements; maintain flexibility.
• Cooperate with other departments to ensure safe training, rehearsal and show environments.
• Develop knowledge of carpentry equipment to operate safely.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and attend safety training.
• Contribute to a safe, positive work environment per company standards.
