Job summary

The Theater Operations Support Technician at Princeton University provides ongoing operational support for events at Richardson Auditorium, with periodic coverage at Frist Theater and other venues across campus. Qualifications

• One year experience in live event/theater production.
• Evenings and weekends work hours; may exceed 8 hours.
• Stand or walk 2–4 hours at a time, up to 6–8 hours per day.
• Sit up to 6 hours during an 8 hour day when operating a lighting console.
• Lift up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work at heights and in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of stage furniture, risers, event audio visual technology, musical instruments, and scenery.
• Participate in load-in and load-out of equipment, including the use of a stage lift.
• Support the setup of the technical equipment, including audio, lighting and projection equipment.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment per OSHA and University safety requirements.
• Provide production services to students, faculty, staff, and external clients.
