Job summary

The Mariemont Care Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Staffing Scheduler to manage staffing needs and ensure adequate coverage for care teams. You will develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for nursing and support staff, coordinating with department heads and HR to meet resident care requirements.

The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Scheduler or similar role, preferably in healthcare or nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for nursing and support staff.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure coverage for all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Monitor and adjust schedules for staff availability, vacation requests, and absences.
• Communicate schedule changes and coverage requests to staff.
• Maintain records of attendance, time-off requests, and scheduling preferences.
• Collaborate with HR and management to ensure staffing policy compliance.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new staff as required.

Staffing Scheduler Job Specification:

The Staffing Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and managing the staffing needs of our facility. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet resident care requirements.

Staffing Scheduler Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for nursing and support staff.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate staff availability, vacation requests, and unforeseen absences.
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedule changes, updates, and requests for shift coverage.
• Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, time-off requests, and scheduling preferences.
• Collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with staffing policies and regulations.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new staff members as required.

Staffing Scheduler Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proven experience as a Scheduler or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
