Job summary

Avalon Care Center Tacoma is seeking an organized Staffing Coordinator with good communication skills to join our outstanding team. The position offers a hourly wage of $28.00- $30.00/hr and full-time benefits eligibility.

Placement within the wage range is determined by experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability. Responsibilities include coordinating nursing staff schedules, inventory management, and ensuring Resident Rights are maintained.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
• High school education or equivalent desirable.
• Some office experience is highly desirable.
• Must possess a current health certificate/examination as required by State agencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer the distribution and inventory of resident care supplies in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Maintain schedules and records pertaining to nursing staff schedules.
• Know staffing patterns and ensure they are maintained.
• Take calls for call-ins and report to Director of Nursing; replace staff call-ins.
• Schedule days off, vacations, sick time under the Director of Nursing's direction and approval.
• May complete administrative assistant duties for Director of Nursing as requested.
• Maintain paperwork and records of absenteeism, requests, schedules, etc., and keep the Director of Nursing apprised.
• Ensure Resident Rights are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

• Administer the distribution and inventory of resident care supplies in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Responsible for maintaining schedules and all records pertaining to nursing staff schedules.
• Must be knowledgeable of staffing patterns and ensure staffing patterns are maintained.
• Take calls for call-ins and report to Director of Nursing Replace staff call-ins.
• Schedule requested days off, vacations, sick time, etc., under the direction and approval of the Director of Nursing.
• May complete administrative assistant duties for Director of Nursing as requested.
• Maintain all paperwork and records of absenteeism, requests, schedules etc. and keep Director of Nursing apprised of all areas.
• Know and comply with Resident Rights and ensure the Resident Rights are maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• A high school education or its equivalent is desirable.
• Some previous office experience is highly desirable.
• Must possess a current health certificate/examination as required by State agencies.

Prefer

• Must possess good typing skills.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Should be capable of executing routine mathematical calculations.
• Ability to relate effectively with residents, visitors, families and employees.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with nursing employees.
• Some previous office experience is highly desirable.
