Job summary

Harmony Chicago is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure proper staffing levels, compliance with regulations, and smooth daily operations. This role supports payroll accuracy, attendance tracking, and inter-department collaboration to maintain a warm, respectful environment for Guests.

You will contribute to a community-focused facility known for Gold Seal of Approval® and comprehensive post-acute care in Albany Park, Chicago.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certificate in the State of Illinois is required.
• At least two years of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing to meet Guest needs and comply with regulations.
• Maintain monthly and daily staffing records.
• Secure coverage for vacancies, vacations, and call-offs.
• Maintain master schedule and log hours worked by clinical staff.
• Assist payroll with accuracy of hours worked.
• Communicate attendance and issues with DON/ADON.
• Support administrators and department heads in daily operations.
• Report hazards, equipment issues, and supply concerns.
• Promote infection control practices and guest dignity and comfort.
• Interact professionally with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attend departmental meetings and trainings.

Are you seeking a rewarding career in healthcare? We are looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join our caring and supporting team at Harmony Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Staffing Coordinator ensures proper staffing is kept at all times in the facility to meet the needs of the Guests while in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, budgetary and census guidelines.

Essential Functions

• Assures adequate number of staff are scheduled at all times to meet the Guest’s needs as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assures monthly and daily staffing records are completed on time.
• Secures coverage for vacancy shift, open positions, vacations and staff call-offs.
• Maintains master schedule and log of all clinical staff schedule wo1rked hours.
• Assists the payroll coordinator with accuracy and verification of all hours worked by nursing staff.
• Records employee attendance and communicates with DON and ADON when issues arise.
• Assists the Administrator and other department heads with the daily operations of the entire facility. May be assigned temporary or long term assignments in various departments.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to appropriate persons.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Answers and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.

Mininum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certificate in the State of Illinois
• Two (2) years of related experience.
