Job summary

Highland Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Centre is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure optimal nursing staffing levels and smooth daily operations across all units. This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a busy healthcare setting.

The position requires prior staffing coordination or payroll support experience within a nursing centre or healthcare environment, with strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities to handle shifts and variances efficiently.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Staffing Coordinator, Scheduler, or Payroll support within a nursing centre or healthcare setting required.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex scheduling needs.
• Ability to ensure appropriate staffing levels while balancing multiple priorities.
• Experience coordinating nursing schedules and managing staffing variances preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the center maintains appropriate staffing levels and adequate nursing coverage at all times.
• Complete monthly nursing schedules, coordinating staff requests to ensure proper unit coverage.
• Prepare, complete, and post work schedules and staffing sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate staffing variances and schedule changes with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
• Maintain accurate staffing records and ensure schedules align with operational and regulatory needs.
• Build strong working relationships with staff to support collaboration and staffing stability.
• Communicate schedule updates, changes, and staffing needs clearly and professionally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
