Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services in Bradenton, FL, seeks a Staffing Coordinator to manage Nursing and Residential staffing. The role includes creating monthly schedules, daily assignments, and processing time-off requests for an on-site team of nurses and mental health staff.
The ideal candidate has 1 year of Staffing Coordinator experience, familiarity with UKG scheduler, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.
The Staffing Coordinator performs the scheduling and staffing function for Nursing and Residential Department for the facility. Creates a monthly schedule and daily assignments sheets for Nursing staff; including Nurses, RN/Shift Supervisors, Lead Mental Health Technicians and Mental Health Technicians. Processes employee requests for time off. The Staffing Coordinator manages the shift master scheduling software system, adjusting appropriately the staffing levels based on census fluctuations, call-ins and pre-planned leaves of absences to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts. Maintains employee attendance calendars to monitor absences and tardiness for any attendance issues. Works closely with respective department Directors to ensure accuracy of both departments’ employees’ hours. Perform administrative duties to support the Director of Residential Services and Director of Nursing. These duties include scheduling patient appointments with approved facility drivers. This position may require being on call for scheduling emergencies.
