Job summary

Givinghhc is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure patients' homes are staffed with nurses and caregivers according to approved hours and plans of care. You will identify staffing needs, create schedules, and partner with HR and case management to fill vacancies, including occasional local home visits.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience with MS Office, and the ability to coordinate across teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Office products.
  • Healthcare staffing or scheduling coordination experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of staffing policies and best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify staffing needs and vacancies due to call outs.
  • Understand Plan of Care for new patients.
  • Assist in communicating changes in acuity or plan of care for existing patients.
  • Create a staffing plan and collaborate with other departments to fill staffing vacancies.
  • Utilize existing resources to meet demands.
  • Engage and collaborate with HR for onboarding new contractors.
  • Schedule and conduct orientation training for new contractors.
  • Create schedules and send shift confirmations.
  • Track and audit schedules with billing to ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, federal, and state guidelines on patient information.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support.

Job description

Role Overview

As a Staffing Coordinator you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients’ homes are staffed with nurses and caregivers, according to the patients’ approved hours and plan of care. This position involves identifying staffing needs, creating schedules that meet those needs, and partnering with human resources and case management to ensure vacancies are filled. May involve commuting locally for occasional home visits, as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Identify staffing needs and vacancies due to call outs
  • Understand Plan of Care for new patients
  • Assist in communicating any changes in acuity or plan of care for existing patients
  • Create a staffing plan and collaborate with other departments to fill staffing vacancies
  • Utilize existing resources (1099 pool, PRN, differentials) to meet demands
  • Engage and collaborate with HR for onboarding new contractors
  • Schedule and conduct orientation training for new contractors
  • Create schedules and send shift confirmations
  • Track and audit schedules in collaboration with billing department to ensure caregiver is compliant
  • Adhere to HIPAA, federal, and state guidelines regarding the protection of patient health information
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 support coverage for critical systems and services
  • Communicate changes or needs in patient care with internal and external partners
Qualifications
  • Experience with MS Office products (required)
  • Healthcare staffing or scheduling coordination experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures, and best practices (preferred)
