Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a Keene Plant Controller to serve as the financial backbone of a demanding op-to-images manufacturing operation. You will own the integrity of the plant's financials from shop floor to boardroom, focusing on internal controls and cost discipline.

You will partner with Operations to tie financial results to production performance, challenge variance assumptions, and deliver audit-ready reports and actionable analysis for leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cost and managerial accounting in a complex discrete-manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record building and enforcing internal controls.
• Strong familiarity with ERP/MES platforms used in manufacturing.
• Ability to challenge assumptions with data-driven variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of the plant's financials with a focus on SOX, inventory, and revenue-cycle controls.
• Manage cost accounting processes including standard costing, BOMs, work orders, and variance analysis.
• Perform product-line and program margin analytics, absorption, and monthly plant P&L forecasting.
• Collaborate with Operations to connect financial results to production performance.
• Deliver audit-ready reporting and decision-useful analysis to leadership.

The Keene Plant Controller is the financial backbone of a :***M opto-mechanical defense and imaging manufacturing operation, owning the integrity of the plant's financials from the shop floor up.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of the plant's financials, focusing on internal controls such as SOX, inventory, and revenue-cycle safeguards over a large, WIP-heavy balance sheet.
• Manage cost accounting processes including standard costing, BOMs, work orders, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Conduct managerial accounting tasks such as product-line and program margin analytics, absorption, and the monthly plant P&L, inventory, and capital forecast.
• Partner directly with Operations to connect financial results to production performance, distinguishing real cost improvements from mix.
• Challenge assumptions unsupported by manufacturing data and deliver audit-ready reporting and honest, decision-useful analysis to leadership.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

• 7 years of experience in cost and managerial accounting within a complex discrete-manufacturing environment.
• A demonstrated track record of building and enforcing rigorous internal controls.
• Strong ERP/MES fluency.
• The instinct to raise hard questions before a variance becomes a surprise.
