Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, part of Methodist Health Systems, is seeking a Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator to manage shift staffing (7a–7p) and balance nursing resources across units.

You will work with Nurse Administrators, Patient Placement, and nursing staff to book coverage, verify schedules, and maintain time and attendance using OneStaff and Tele-Tracking tools. This role supports operational staffing decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

Job Summary And Qualifications Coordinates staffing for one or more hospitals within Methodist Health Systems on a per shift basis: 7a & 7p. Effectively balances and disperses nursing resources throughout nursing units to provide appropriate safe staffing, pending Nurse Administrator approval. Communicates closely with Nurse Administrator, Patient Placement Center, Contract Labor providers, Nurse Directors and Charge nurses to make effective staffing decisions. Routinely reviews schedules/staffing needs, books nurses for adequate coverage, documents and tracks time and attendance, verifies nursing unit schedules, and utilizes provided software to aid with processes throughout the shift. Essential Job Functions

• Follows and maintains Staffing and Scheduling policies and processes to ensure adequate staffing throughout facilities. Communicates effectively with all parties involved in the staffing process, including but not limited to Senior Leaders, Patient Placement, Nurse Directors, Charge Nurses, Resource Pool and Contingency Staff. Receives calls from supplement staffing pool nurses and schedules them for shifts. Reviews OneStaff schedules to assess coverage for the upcoming shift. Prepares shift-staffing sheet for the next shift to show coverage and census. Verifies pre-books with unit schedule for the following shift. Maintains current Supplement Staffing Pool schedule. Communicates assignments to Resource Team and Contingency staff.
• Greets visitors, callers, answers inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate person based on their needs. Communicates in a professional manner and communicates messages appropriately.
• Documents and Relays sick/absent calls to appropriate personnel, including the nursing unit and the Nurse Administrator.
• Coordinates sitter case coverage and adheres to individual facility sitter criteria. Assists with family members to obtain private duty sitters through agency usage.
• Maintains competency related to One Staff scheduling process, Tele-Tracking (Projected Census), and StaffRx (orders and confirmations) and is able to run reports and make edits as needed.
• Supports the Nurse Administrator as necessary.
