Starbucks is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to guide forecasting models and optimization for staffing across the US and Canada. You will architect scalable systems, apply machine learning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence workforce planning and store operations.

You will mentor other data scientists, drive production-grade analytics, and translate complex methodologies into actionable insights with compelling dashboards and visuals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in data science with end-to-end data product delivery.
• Strong foundation in ML and statistics including regression, classification, clustering, and causal inference.
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of advanced forecasting models and optimization algorithms for staffing across US/Canada company-owned stores.
• Architect scalable staffing ecosystem with data-driven framework and predictive models.
• Mentor data scientists and communicate business impact through storytelling.
