We aren't just a care provider; we are a team dedicated to \"Doing the right thing for the right reason.\" As a DSP in a staffed residence, you provide the essential support that allows individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive in a home of their own.
Working in a staffed residence means you are the heartbeat of the home. You will support participants in their daily routines, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring a safe, supportive, and joyful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Living Assistance: Support participants with ADLs, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and light housekeeping to keep the home running smoothly.
Medication & Safety: Administer prescribed medications accurately and prioritize the health and welfare of every resident.
Goal Mentorship: Actively engage with participants to help them achieve their personal goals and skill-building milestones.
Community & Connection: Plan activities, go out—most importantly— have fun with the residents!
Reporting: Complete daily progress notes and documentation with accuracy and care.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Screening: Must pass background checks and drug screening.
Credentials: Valid Driver’s License and active auto insurance.
Skills: Excellent communication, a positive attitude, and a heart for service.
