What You’ll Do

• Write 30-40 engaging articles weekly on trending topics, including opinion pieces, lists, and viral stories.
• Stay informed about major stories involving players, coaches, and teams to produce timely content.
• Utilize research skills to create quality content and generate new ideas.
• Optimize content for SEO and Google Discover in collaboration with editors.
• Guide and support contractors to improve their content quality.
• Complete assignments based on editorial needs to maximize traffic and meet goals.
• Be a supportive team member with a positive attitude.

Where You’ll Be

• This is a remote-first position offering flexibility.

The salary range is $50,000 - $55,000 annually, with benefits including flexible vacation, paid holidays, parental leave, health insurance, and a 401(k).

Requirements

• 1-2 years of digital sports editorial experience, with knowledge of SEO and a passion for college sports year-round.
• Deep knowledge of college sports, current trends, history, and buzzworthy players and events.
• Confident storytelling ability and awareness of fan conversations.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to content creation.
• Ambition, agility, multitasking ability, and adaptability to work nights and weekends during peak seasons.
