Oura is seeking a Staff UX Researcher to shape the research agenda for personalized biometric insights and trustworthy guidance. The role partners with design, product, data science, and engineering to embed rapid experimentation in the product strategy.

The position requires leading research across generative and strategic studies, including AI-driven experiences, with strong storytelling to influence roadmaps and ensure user trust. Hybrid-remote with on-site time in SF or Helsinki.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional UX or design research experience.
• Ability to translate behavioral data into qualitative insights that influence roadmaps.
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods, including logs and experiments.
• Comfort speaking with data scientists and translating analyses for stakeholders.
• Experience researching AI-driven or algorithmic features with explainability and trust in mind.
• Strong storytelling and influential communication to drive product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end research across generative, evaluative, and strategic studies for personalized biometric insights.
• Design and run rapid experiments (A/B tests, multi-armed variants, staged rollouts) to validate personalization changes.
• Lead research in ambiguous problem spaces, including AI- and LLM-powered experiences.
• Study personalization across member segments and health contexts to avoid overreach or invasiveness.
• Help define operational meaning of "trustworthy" for personalization and provide actionable guidance.
• Embed research early in roadmap discussions with software design, product, and data science teams.
