Job summary

Ford's Universal Electric Vehicle platform team seeks a Staff Technical Program Manager for BSP and Multimedia to lead program execution across kernel and driver bring-up, and the WiFi, Bluetooth, Audio, and Camera subsystems that power the vehicle infotainment experience.

The role carries end-to-end accountability for planning, execution, and risk management, interfacing with internal engineering and external suppliers to reconcile schedules and milestones, while driving long-lead platform

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
10+ years of project/program/product management in software.
5+ years of software development or testing.
M.S. in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
MBA.
PMP Certification.
Experience using JIRA, Jama and Confluence.
Experience negotiating with hardware and software vendors.
Experience in Automotive, Embedded Software, Infotainment domains.

Responsibilities

Build long-range development roadmaps prioritizing platform-level enablers with input from multiple teams.
Align hardware, vendor, and software schedules into a single integrated plan.
Support WiFi/Bluetooth certification and regulatory approvals.
Maintain velocity by removing blockers and guiding agile practices.
Lead triage and response plans for critical issues.
Provide clear status and risk reporting to technical and management audiences.
Drive concurrent projects across vehicle software domains and set engineering priorities.
Iterate and improve software development processes, tools, and documentation.
