Job summary

Natera is seeking a highly technical Staff Software Engineer in Test to lead test architecture for the Oncology CGP Product Engineering team. You will serve as the test architect and central driver of automated, end-to-end validation across a complex microservices landscape, from order ingestion to patient reporting, with an AI-native mindset.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of active software development or test automation experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity deploying automation for enterprise-grade distributed systems.
• Expert programming in Java, Python, or Go; experience with Playwright and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Define Integration Test Architecture with automated system integration testing frameworks.
• Review and validate OpenAPI/Swagger specs and Avro schemas for Kafka in the architecture phase.
• Lead AI-native test framework work, integrating LLM/AI tools into testing lifecycle.
• Author and execute high-fidelity end-to-end test scenarios across multiple systems (order-to-report).
• Drive cross-functional alignment and architectural consensus through influence.
• Mentor SQEs and engineers in test automation and systems thinking.
