Job summary

Databricks seeks a Staff Technical Solution Engineer to join a Cleared Engineering team in McLean, VA, guiding high-security GovCloud operations within air-gapped environments. You will tackle complex system blocks, run advanced tooling, and ensure platform reliability across multi-cloud enclaves.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Support Engineering, DevSecOps, or a related technical operational role.
• High-level proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Go, Bash, or Java) with the technical aptitude to read, edit, and troubleshoot software and infrastructure code natively.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on debugging and systems administration experience inside major public cloud boundaries (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong foundation in Linux/Unix systems engineering, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated patch deployment pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work out of our McLean, VA secure facility, including flexibility to support 24x7 operational coverage frameworks within a SCIF environment as required.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational integrity of high-side platform interactions and perform advanced debugging and environment analysis.
• Execute sophisticated tooling and scripts to unblock internal engineering teams within secure GovCloud operations.
• Drive platform reliability, incident resolution, and infrastructure visibility for multi-cloud data enclaves in air-gapped environments.
• Unblock secure engineering pipelines by interfacing with GovCloud system interactions and triaging complex issues.
• Ensure compliant patch deployment pipelines and maintain guardrails within SCIF facilities.
