Job description

We're looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Technology Operations Lead to support strategic planning and to help streamline our processes for building and delivering great customer and merchant products. As our products scale in complexity to meet our accelerating business and expanding product lines, our business process management practices need to scale with it. You will work with our cross-functional teams, supporting processes and frameworks for building quality software.


What you’ll do:
  1. Support complex, multi-disciplinary, and highly visible transformation programs in service of our team’s mission of expanding our consumer product suite and platform capabilities.
  2. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the company (engineering and non-engineering) to support rollout of change initiatives.
  3. Assist with implementation of metrics, processes and frameworks to enable better ways of working to realize value from planning, ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective, and build a culture of continuous iteration and improvement.
  4. Train teams on new ways of working while not just navigating change but creating excitement around it.
  5. Run business operations efforts, manage CAPEX & capacity planning, communications, and conduct retrospectives.
  6. Partner with cross-functional teams to gather change requirements, identify risks, manage dependencies, and utilize tools and forums to drive clarity and efficiency.
  7. Identify inefficiencies and experiment with new ideas to bring transparency, visibility, and promote accountability across the organization.

What We Look For:
  1. 5 years of proven experience managing business operations supporting Engineering & Product.
  2. Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes.
  3. Proficient in using low-code AI tools and data analysis.
  4. Deep understanding of process improvement methodologies and experience running change programs in a remote-friendly environment.
  5. Familiarity with scaled agile practices is a plus.
  6. Track record of strong stakeholder management with Engineering, Product, Design, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams.
  7. Prior experience in vendor management & FinTech, Payments or Commerce is a plus.
  8. This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Grade - N
Equity Grade - 10
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $190,000 - $240,000
USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $169,000 - $219,000.


Remote Work:

Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company! The majority of our roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office. A limited number of roles remain office-based due to the nature of their job responsibilities.
