This position will be remote within the United States.
Job Summary
As a Technical Product Owner, you will report to the engineering department and interact with engineering teams on a daily basis. You will participate in the daily Scrum meetings to stay updated on progress and challenges. Weekly, you will meet with the product manager and engineering team lead and/or engineering manager to work on backlog refinement and prepare items for the upcoming sprint.
You will also attend the sprint retrospectives and reviews, where you will present summarized progress of completed work items to product managers and engineering leadership, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for collaborating with one or more engineering teams. It is crucial for the Technical Product Owner to effectively manage their time to participate in all elements of each group’s development process and attend all necessary meetings.
What You Will Do
- Partner closely with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager to break down high-level product strategies, epics, and user stories into actionable tasks, clear technical specifications, and comprehensive acceptance criteria in Jira
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine user stories, estimate effort, and prepare clear technical documentation that supports effective prioritization, sprint planning, and high-quality delivery
- Understand customer needs, pain points, and preferences, using insights to shape solutions that align user value with technical feasibility
- Serve as a key liaison between engineering, product, and design to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the product development lifecycle
- Participate in Agile ceremonies – including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives – driving clarity, iteration, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to roadmap feasibility discussions and provide input based on technical constraints and engineering team capacity
- Monitor key performance metrics and user feedback in partnership with Product Management to optimize product features and identify improvement opportunities
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Perform other duties as needed to support product and development team success

QualificationsWhat You Will Have- 8+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record of delivering complex software products from concept to launch in Agile Scrum environments
- Background in product ownership, business analysis, requirements prioritization, team leadership, and stakeholder management
- Technical background with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Gherkin,
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experienced in using analytical tools and techniques to support data-driven decisions
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Nice to Haves- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
The posted range for this position is
$100,000 - $140,000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
