Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Staff Systems Test Engineer for the AVE-IATC team in Roy, UT. You will develop test solutions from contract needs, lead comprehensive test plans, and coordinate with multiple engineering teams to validate hardware and software in a lab environment.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain, 8+ years in HW/SW test, and strong leadership skills. 9/80 work schedule and relocation assistance may apply.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in STEM with extensive test engineering experience.
• Experience integrating HW/SW and developing test plans.
• Clearance to DoD Secret level or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer contractual needs into test solutions within constraints.
• Lead preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans and schedules.
• Review test requirements for completeness of program.
• Coordinate with SME and test teams to define objectives and risks.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and instrumentation requirements.
• Identify test support needs with Design & Integration teams.
• Oversee test activities and approve test events and configuration breaks.
• Conduct tabletop reviews and dry runs prior to execution.
• Coordinate Technical and Safety Review Boards and Test Readiness Reviews.
• Support Test Plan Working Groups and Test Planning charters.
• Coordinate with Quality for test support and major amendments.
• Communicate effectively across levels of staff and management.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams on test objectives.
