Onto Innovation is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to provide senior-level systems engineering leadership for advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology products. This individual will define system requirements, drive architecture decisions, support integration and verification, and serve as a technical authority on complex programs.

The role is on-site in Wilmington, MA with up to 40% travel. Qualifications include 15+ years of engineering experience and strong expertise in requirements,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience with systems leadership for complex equipment.
• Strong in requirements management, architecture, integration and test, and risk management.
• Able to influence cross-functional teams and solve customer-facing technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements definition, system architecture, interface management and verification planning.
• Drive integration strategy, risk analysis and issue resolution across subsystems.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with hardware, software, optics, automation and field teams.
