Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Staff Software Systems Engineer to lead requirements engineering for software-intensive products across mobile, web, backend services, APIs, and cloud workflows. This remote role emphasizes end-to-end traceability and cross-functional alignment within regulated environments.

You will translate clinical, regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational needs into testable requirements and drive risk analysis, interface definitions, and lifecycle stewardship in Jama Connect

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Systems Engineering or requirements engineering for software-intensive products.
• Experience with staff-level ownership of architecture decomposition and cross-functional leadership.
• Hands-on requirements management and end-to-end traceability using Jama Connect or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Author, review, baseline, and maintain System/Software Requirements Specifications in Jama Connect.
• Decompose system requirements into software requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability across needs, requirements, design, risk controls, and verification.
• Lead feature- and subsystem-level Systems Engineering across iOS/Android, web, backend APIs, SDKs, cloud services.
• Develop interface requirements, data-flow, workflows, and API specifications across devices, cloud, and partners.
• Partner with Product, Software Engineering, Architecture, Verification, Regulatory, and Quality teams.
• Contribute to system hazard analysis and risk assessment in line with ISO 14971.
• Support verification planning and release impact assessments.
• Drive technical reviews and document decisions to align stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers on requirements quality and regulated Systems Engineering.
