Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Staff Software Systems Engineer to lead requirements engineering across mobile, web, backend, and cloud services in a remote setting. The role emphasizes end-to-end traceability, risk analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Systems Engineering or requirements engineering for software-intensive products.
• Staff-level ownership of architecture decomposition and cross-functional leadership.
• Hands-on requirements management with Jama Connect or equivalent.
• Experience with iOS/Android, web, APIs, cloud services preferred.
• Strong systems thinking and collaboration across multiple teams.
• Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices and SaMD.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements engineering, traceability, and risk analysis across platforms.
• Translate needs into clear system and software requirements.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability and risk controls per ISO principles.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Regulatory, and Quality.
• mentor engineers on requirements quality and regulated practices.
