Job summary

Shure, a global audio equipment leader, seeks a Staff Systems Engineer for our Niles, IL HQ. The role is hybrid, with 1–2 days on-site weekly. You will shape hardware, firmware, and Angular/Node based apps to ensure peak performance, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities include defining detailed requirements, architecting Angular/Node workflows with AWS/Electron, and building POCs to validate user experiences. 8+ years in system engineering or software architecture preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as System Engineer or Software Architect on Angular, Electron, or Cloud products.
• Strong experience in hardware/firmware, cloud platforms, and desktop applications.
• Excellent documentation and ability to shape requirements from stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Clarify, shape, and bring structure to features of the Professional Audio platform roadmap.
• Architect, negotiate, and design Angular/Node applications with focus on AWS and Electron.
• Develop POCs and reference implementations to validate UX flows and architecture.
• Apply standards and share best practices; ensure reliability and scalability.
