Qualifications

  • Proficient in motor control algorithms and controller design/selection.
  • Proficient in selecting and integrating power supplies and designing power distribution systems.
  • Proficient in the integration of a wide variety of systems.
  • Ability to swim/work on the water.
  • Nice-to-have: Master’s degree in Engineering; software programming experience; unmanned underwater/ surface vehicles experience; data collection/analysis from disparate systems; MATLAB proficiency.

Responsibilities

It will also involve in-water testing of vehicles and will occasionally require travel to perform vehicle testing.**ATEP’s** focus is to accelerate innovation and develop the next generation of capabilities by pursuing the development of new products and taking them to TRL 5/6. Following that they are transitioned into business units to be matured and scaled. ATEP has a fail-fast culture, building prototype products to develop/test new capabilities. The focus is on getting hardware into live test scenarios rather than dotting i’s and crossing t’s.The **Staff Systems Engineer** is initially responsible for leading the definition, design and development of the propulsion and fin CAS systems as well as integration into the energy, control and ancillary systems.
