The Opportunity

This position is for a Staff Systems Engineer. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. The position will primarily support the operations for a software system.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teams
  • Perform requirements management including requirements creation, tracking, flow down, coverage, verification tracking, compliance matrices, etc.
  • Develop test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell‑off events
  • Decompose system requirements and collaborate with multi‑disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions
  • Support development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities
  • Participate in development and execution of program milestones events such as customer meetings, internal and formal government testing events, and discrepancy report review boards
  • Conduct testing events of software solutions and generate test result documentation
  • Support operations of software with tasks such as enterprise test events and user integration and onboarding
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, IT, or a related engineering field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software development or systems engineering
  • Effective cross‑organizational communicator capable of working well in a small, fast‑paced team
  • Ability to develop requirements
  • Ability to develop test procedures that verify requirements
  • Ability to develop tracing between requirements, code, and verification
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Current IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or CASP)
Desired
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with virtual teams
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment requirements for DoD
  • Experience using automated tests to sell‑off formal requirement verification
  • Experience with government site acceptance processes and procedures
  • Experience working with software‑defined interfaces that use XML or JSON to both document and implement
  • Experience with SATCOM or GEOINT systems
  • Business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
  • Experience in the operational deployment of multi‑product baselines and functionality
  • Experience with Cameo modeling tools
  • Experience developing a software architecture using digital tools
  • Experience with DOORS or DoR Next‑Gen
Pay Range

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $82,100 – $172,400
