Emerson's Transportation Business Unit seeks a Staff Systems Design Engineer (Electrical) to design, document, deploy and sustain customized NI systems for turnkey solutions. The Emerson Test & Measurement/National Instruments (NI) Transportation Business Unit (TBU) Customer Centric Solutions (CCS) Team is seeking to hire a Staff Systems Design Engineer (Electrical) to work on custom solution projects. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI engineering teams, customers, sales personnel, partners, and contract manufacturers to define, design, document, deploy and sustain NI systems tailored to meet specific customer requirements for turnkey engineering solutions. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge in electrical and electronic design and configuration of systems, as well as familiarity with NI hardware and software products.
This is a multi-functional role dealing with diverse engineering needs, including the ability to gather requirements, generate specification documents, and interface with integration partners, contract manufacturers and internal personnel to design, deploy and sustain custom solutions worldwide.
