Lucid Motors in Newark, CA seeks a Staff System Engineer – ADAS/AD Safety to lead ISO 26262 and SOTIF safety foundations for ADAS features and automated driving. This on-site role establishes core safety processes, artifacts, and safety case architecture as the company scales its autonomous capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in a field related to system engineering or safety engineering.
8+ years of experience in system safety or safety assurance for autonomous systems.
Demonstrated experience with a full safety lifecycle for a complex system.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Function Safety team to align on HARA and Safety Goals for ADAS/AD features.
Derive and author Technical Safety Concepts and Requirements for sensors, ECUs, software, and networks.
Integrate SOTIF thinking into the safety case, including perception and AI/ML components.
