Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a role focused on pushing the boundaries of embedded systems and battery life.

You will help develop custom silicon solutions and work across software and hardware teams to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient experiences. The Pixel System Power team owns battery life in the Pixel system software, collaborating with hardware and software teams to prototype, optimize and deploy power-aware solutions for consumer devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of work experience in development, testing and deployment of consumer electronics/embedded systems.
• 3 years of experience in technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive power optimizations on mobile phone SOCs.
• Provide inputs to architecture teams on new SOC features and initiatives to improve power.
• Analyze and optimize the software across CPU, GPU, memory subsystem and connectivity.
• Develop tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption; debug battery drain issues.
• Collaborate with Android and app teams across Google to optimize power.
