Job summary

Google's Pixel System Power team seeks a senior embedded systems engineer to optimize power across mobile SOCs and related software. You will influence architecture decisions, drive battery life improvements, and work across software and hardware teams to deliver high-efficiency silicon solutions.

The role requires extensive experience in embedded systems, operating systems, and power processing, plus strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in EE/CE/Physics or related field.
• At least 6 years in development, testing and deployment of consumer electronics/embedded systems.
• At least 3 years of technical leadership experience.
• Experience in embedded systems, operating systems, and power processing.

Responsibilities

• Drive power optimizations on mobile phone SOCs.
• Provide inputs to architecture teams on new SOC features and initiatives to improve power.
• Analyze and optimize the software across CPU, GPU, memory subsystem and connectivity.
• Develop tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption. Debug and resolve battery drain issues.
• Collaborate with Android and app teams across Google to help them optimize power.
