Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks a Staff/Sr. Staff System FPGA Engineer to define and implement FPGA architectures for control-plane and telemetry on server reference platforms.

You will contribute across RTL development, verification, and lab bring-up, collaborating with SoC, software, firmware, hardware, and suppliers. You will develop Python-based automation, cocotb test benches, and maintain design repositories with Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering or related field with FPGA focus.
• 5+ years in FPGA implementation and verification in relevant domains.
• Strong logic design and industry interfaces knowledge.
• Experience with I2C/UART/AXI4/PCIe, DDR5 or similar protocols.
• HDL with Verilog or SystemVerilog; CAD tool troubleshooting and debugging.
• Python for design automation and test infrastructure.
• Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Implement RTL designs from specifications into synthesizable HDL.
• Develop and execute test benches and verification plans.
• Perform synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure.
• Debug FPGA designs in the lab using JTAG, scopes, and analyzers.
• Create Python-based scripts and cocotb test benches for automation.
• Contribute to design repositories with Git flows and reviews.
• Produce documentation of implementation details and results.
