PHY transceivers, high speed line cards, and AEC DSPs

The Alaska portfolio of PHY transceivers, high-speed line cards, and DSPs for active electrical cables (AECs) offers optimized form factors, multiple port and cable options, efficient power consumption, and simple plug-and-play functionality.

What You Can Expect

As a Hardware and Silicon Validation Staff Engineer at Marvell, you'll be helping to deliver high bandwidth over long distances.

  1. Contribute as system engineering team, engage with functional teams such as digital, analog, firmware, to develop Marvell's next-gen high-speed networking PHY Serdes IP/ICs.
  2. Work independently and collaboratively in the post-silicon validation team, to collect and analyze large data from bench testing and drive tuning parameters in silicon to ensure product quality.
  3. Characterize electrical parameters and building blocks such as Tx jitters, CDR loops, CTLE, PLL, etc.
  4. Tune internal circuitries such as peaking, bandwidth, FIFO, and adaptation algorithms to optimize product operating margins under stressed PVT conditions.
  5. Involve in system-level hardware design (PCB schematics) and collaborate with SI and layout teams to build engineering boards.
  6. Create, maintain, and own bench automation libraries (Python) for various products.
  7. As part of the system engineering team, your ideas and work will have a direct impact on the company's products.
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3-5 years of professional experience, or Master's/PhD with 2-3 years of experience.

  • Experience in Post-Si Validation, Stress & PVT testing is required.
  • Strong analog/mixed-signal knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of modern high-speed PHY/Serdes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, etc.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The expected base pay range is $102,880 - $154,100 per annum, determined based on skills, experience, and location. Additional compensation includes bonuses and equity.
