Job summary

Commure seeks a Staff Software Product Engineer to set the technical direction for the biller-workflow platform, spanning frontend and backend. You will lead cross-team initiatives, optimize data-dense UIs, embed AI features, and own reliability and performance in production, using React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.

This mid-rebuild period offers shaping standards, mentorship, and opportunities to impact hundreds of hospitals and clinics.

Qualifications

8+ years building large-scale, full-stack applications across multiple teams.
Org-wide frontend leadership — orchestrated adoption of a design system across a large org.
Strong API and data-layer design for REST endpoints with filtering, grouping, pagination.

Responsibilities

Set the technical direction for the biller-workflow platform across frontend and backend.
Establish standards and patterns for components, data-fetching, APIs, testing and observability.
Lead cross-cutting projects: data-dense tables, bulk operations, unified claim activity timeline, AI integration.
Ensure engineering excellence via architecture reviews and deep code reviews.
Own production reliability and performance for biller surfaces (rendering, queries, pipelines).
Partner with product, design, and billing operations to transform billing workflows.
