Job summary

Tenet North Cal is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) in San Ramon, California. The role focuses on coordinating nursing staff during the night shift, ensuring high-quality patient care in the Med Surg/Telemetry department.

Requirements include a BSN preferred and a minimum of three years in acute care/telemetry, with CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and CPI training within three months of hire. This is a part-time, staff position reporting to the Nursing Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care/telemetry experience.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA certified).
• Current CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (within 3 months of hire/ transfer).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services of staff on the designated shift to ensure patient care is appropriate to patients' age and development.
• Assess staff needs for the unit and collaborate with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor.
• Supervise and support the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) nursing team during night shifts.
