Job summary

RINA is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to join our Plant Engineering team in the United States, with eligible locations in Houston, TX or Chicago/Lisle, IL. You will lead structural design, analysis and verification across buildings, infrastructure and industrial facilities, applying codes and standards to deliver safe, reliable solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, and proficiency with RISA 3D, SAP2000, ETABS and STAAD.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering across buildings, infrastructure or industrial projects.
Solid understanding of structural engineering principles, including statics, dynamics and material behaviour.
Ability to perform and validate structural calculations related to loads, pressures and stresses with limited supervision.
Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams across different project phases.

Responsibilities

Design, analyse, verify and technically assess structural works and components across different project types, including buildings, infrastructure and industrial structural systems.
Review and contribute to engineering documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable structural codes and standards, and internal procedures.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculation packages, technical notes and reports.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and integration of structural solutions within the overall project.
