Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Energetics Manufacturing Engineer (Level 5) to join our Promontory, UT team. This 100% onsite role focuses on sizing, detailing, and inspecting structural systems for advanced propulsion and space structures.

The candidate will perform calculations, design details, field surveys, and multi-discipline project oversight. Preferred qualifications include a BS or MS in a STEM field, active Secret clearance, and experience with RISA 3D and MathCAD.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with related Structural/Civil experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; able to work in the field.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering calculations for sizing and arrangement of structural members.
Develop details for structural elements, platforms, supports, and fall protection.
Analyze, design and detail structural elements of steel, masonry and concrete buildings.
Review designs for inter-relationship with structural elements and ensure code compliance.
Perform field inspections and surveys; provide project management for multi-discipline jobs.
