Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Energetics Manufacturing Engineer (Level 5) to join our Promontory, UT team onsite. The role involves sizing calculations, structural detailing, and multi-discipline project management to support defense systems.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with extensive related experience or a relevant master's, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Relocation support may be available, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelors' Degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of related experience (Structural/Civil Engineering and Design).
• Or Masters' Degree with 10+ years of related experience (Structural/Civil Engineering and Design).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Ability to work in the field, climb ladders, and work outdoors in congested areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations for sizing and arrangement of structural members.
• Develop details for structural elements, platforms, supports, and fall protection.
• Analyze and detail steel, masonry, and concrete building elements.
• Review architectural systems' interaction with structural elements.
• Perform code analyses for compliance with model codes.
• Conduct field inspections to determine conditions.
• Carry out field surveying.
• Experience in seismic analysis and/or oversight.
• Develop job criteria, cost estimates, scheduling, and oversight.
• Manage large multi-discipline projects.
