Job summary

Xometry, a NASDAQ: XMTR company, is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to define the technical strategy for reliability and performance of our infrastructure and software systems. You will lead cross‑functional initiatives, mentor senior engineers, and influence architectural decisions across the tech organization.

The role focuses on building scalable platforms on AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, with emphasis on observability, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in infrastructure management or backend development.
• Deep experience with AWS across multiple accounts and regions.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross‑functional technical challenges and drive them to completion.
• Define long‑term technical roadmap and strategy for core SRE platforms and services.
• Architect and deliver major initiatives balancing effort, risk and business impact.
• Set standards for clean, well‑documented code and core system improvements.
• Collaborate across teams and communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers and drive adoption of best practices for observability and security.
• Develop, configure, and maintain underlying platforms (AWS accounts, networking, Kubernetes clusters).
• Develop, configure, and maintain observability and monitoring tools with defined SLOs/SLIs.
• Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions runners, ArgoCD).
• Operate in an on‑call capable role and act as escalation point for complex issues.
