Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer for our SRE, InfraSec team to guide the security of our cloud-based infrastructure. As a Staff SRE, you will be deeply hands-on while mentoring a small team of engineers.

The role focuses on cloud security design, automation, monitoring, and tooling across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including CSPM, IAM, and runtime security. You will help raise security posture at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE or infrastructure engineering with a security focus.
• Proven leadership in security-focused projects such as CSPM and runtime scanning.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go preferred).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and OS/network fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Build automated security monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud environments.
• Evaluate, implement, and manage cloud-native security tools for IAM, CSPM, and endpoint security.
