Job summary

Crunchyroll seeks a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to drive reliability, security, and scalability of CDI data platforms. You will partner with Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, Product, and Security to design resilient cloud-native systems and champion SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

You will mentor engineers and lead cross-functional reliability initiatives while aligning with SecOps and vulnerability management to strengthen platform security postures.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of SRE/Platform Engineering experience operating production systems.
• Deep Kubernetes and GCP expertise for highly available, cloud-native platforms.
• Strong IaC, automation, and standardization focus.
• Linux, networking, and distributed systems troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or Shell with automation focus.
• Experience with modern observability platforms and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Define and improve CDI platform reliability with SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Lead incident management, postmortems, and root-cause analysis.
• Build observability, logging, tracing, and alerting across data platforms.
• Develop automation and self-service capabilities to reduce toil.
• Drive capacity planning, disaster recovery, and platform security.
