Job summary

Phantom Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (SRE) to own Kubernetes and drive infrastructure reliability across AWS EKS.

The role focuses on automation using Terraform/Pulumi, scalable databases, and crypto-node operations across multiple chains. You will collaborate with backend and product teams to deliver secure, scalable and observable systems, leveraging Datadog/OpenTelemetry for monitoring and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a SRE or Software Engineer role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments.
• Proficiency with AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM).
• Solid experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Monitoring and observability experience using Datadog or OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Kubernetes Ownership: Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS to ensure reliability and performance.
• Infrastructure Automation: Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Pulumi).
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
• Blockchain Infrastructure: Configure and maintain crypto nodes across multiple blockchains for wallet operations.
• Database Scaling: Optimize and scale database infrastructure for large blockchain data.
• System Reliability: Improve uptime, monitoring, and observability with Datadog/OpenTelemetry.
• Collaboration: Work with backend and product teams to support scaling and feature development.
